Jace Chan The Future Rocks

Catching up with JACE

March 27th marked The Future Rocks’ triumphant return to our origin city in Hong Kong with the opening of a pop-up store at K11 MUSEA, namely The Lab-Grown Store. In celebration of the occasion, we’ve hosted a cocktail launch party with the participation of a list of honorable guests, including but not limited to singer JACE, entrepreneur Jessie Chen, Alyssa Campanella, Magen Kwan, Karen Law, Fanny Ng, and Crystal Huang.

During the event, we took some time to catch up with JACE, checking in on the “HATCHING” of her upcoming projects, her off-duty style, and the best part of being an independent artist. Read more for the side of JACE you don’t get to see on screen.

What does the word “HATCHING” mean to you?

To understand that everything takes time, and it’s never meant to be easy.

What else have you been “HATCHING” lately? Can we look forward to more surprises from you in the near future?

For sure. And it’s about to be hatched! Stay tuned!

What do you look forward to the most in 2024?

Creating more music and work that represents JACE.

What is your biggest takeaway from 2023?

Receiving so much love and patience.

Tell us a bit about your off-duty style, and what does that say about you as a person?

Crop top, loose pants with a cap. Just whatever makes me feel comfy and confident. I guess I am pretty chill, especially when I’m off-duty.

Are you a ring/ necklace/ bracelet/ earring person?

Ring. And I like stacking a lot of them.

What’s the best part of being an independent artist?

Being responsible for every decision you make and learning so much through trial and error every day. It’s challenging but fun.

Name the biggest challenge you’ve encountered thus far.

A flying cockroach.😂 Nothing else fazes me as much.

See you soon.
